Shytoshi Kusama, the lead developer of Shiba Inu, has revealed that beta testing for the highly anticipated Shiba Eternity game could be unveiled in the next quarter. Since its launch in 2022, the game has attracted over 500,000 players, creating a buzz within the crypto community.
During a recent appearance on the official Shibarium Tech Discord server, Kusama was asked about the date for the upcoming beta testing of the Collectible Card Game (CCG), Shiba Eternity, by the server’s pseudonymous admin, Da Vinci. Kusama responded with a simple “Next quarter,” which caused excitement among the Shiba Army, despite the lack of details provided.
This announcement coincides with Mazrael, an advisor and grandmaster of Shiba Eternity, stating that the team is making progress in game testing. Technical challenges that were affecting the PlaySide build have been addressed, and the team is currently testing the in-house build. The Shiba Inu Games team has fixed the bugs in the Playside build and will be implementing these fixes, along with other improvements, in the upcoming patch for the mobile version of the game. This brings them one step closer to the highly anticipated beta launch of Shiba Eternity, which is eagerly awaited by the #SHIBARMY.
Shiba Eternity was officially launched in October 2022 and has already surpassed 500,000 players. In the first few weeks after its launch, the game had over 100,000 downloads, as previously reported by Crypto News Flash. However, the game has yet to tap into the Web3 market, where its integration with blockchain technology would revolutionize user engagement and game dynamics.
To provide some context, Shiba Eternity is a free-to-play game where players start with a starter deck. In the initial stage of the game, players meet Ryoshi, a Shiboshi who guides them through the world of Shiba Inu. Each Shiboshi has six core traits, and their abilities are unlocked when they come into contact with PURE FOMO. The game allows Shiboshis to train in various martial arts disciplines.
Once a Shiboshi has gained enough experience, they can challenge Ryoshi in combat. It’s worth noting that the game features a collection of 10,000 Shiboshi heroes and 500 collectible cards. Additionally, there are 11 passive powers and 21 special powers available. In order to win, a player must drain their opponent’s stamina from 30 points to zero.
Shiba Eternity is available for free on the App Store and Playstore, so players do not need to make any initial investment to enjoy the game.
Lucie, the marketing specialist of the Shib ecosystem, recently revealed that Shiboshi NFTs will soon become integral in-game assets on Shibarium. This will unlock several features, including a Treat Earning Mechanism and integration with Shibarium. The Treat Earning Mechanism will allow Shiboshis to be used to earn $Treat, the reward token of the Shiba Ecosystem. Holding Shiboshis will be a requirement for participating in certain reward-generating activities or quests. The game will also operate on Shibarium, the Shiba Inu blockchain, showcasing a seamless integration of NFTs and gaming within the Shiba ecosystem.
