SBI Holdings Unveils NFT Launch on XRP Ledger for World Expo 2025, Driving Digital Innovation
In a groundbreaking move, SBI Holdings, a partner of Ripple, has introduced a pioneering non-fungible token (NFT) service on the XRP Ledger as part of its sponsorship of the “EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet” project at the upcoming World Expo. Known as “Myaku N!”, this new service allows users to acquire exclusive NFTs from the EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet starting from July 1. The NFTs are accessible through the Myaku-N! digital wallet, which is available for download on both iOS and Google platforms.
The launch of the World Expo 2025 NFTs on the XRP Ledger showcases a significant initiative by SBI Holdings in Japan. This project demonstrates the potential of digital collectibles and SBI Holdings’ commitment to integrating blockchain technology into mainstream events. According to a recent press release, the EXPO 2025 Digital Wallet NFT service is limited to only 500 users, adding a unique and exclusive element to the offering. While users can purchase rare NFTs and create personalized ones, these digital assets cannot be sold or transferred.
The aim of this service is to cater to the anticipated 28.2 million visitors at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka. It is a collaborative effort between SBI VC Trade, the cryptocurrency exchange business of SBI, and their NFT company, SBINFT. However, it is important to note that the digital wallet app service will cease to operate after the expo, rendering the World Expo NFTs inaccessible after October 13, 2025.
Users can view these NFTs in real-time on the XRPL Explorer Bithomp. Those participating in the “Myaku Reward Program” can collect NFTs and receive rewards based on their ranking. Engaging in Expo events, such as using the electronic currency “Myakupe!”, will help users elevate their position.
To further engage users, SBI has announced additional incentives, lotteries, and prizes through the “Myakumyakupon!” gift campaign. This emphasis on XRP and NFTs is expected to promote wider adoption of these crypto-related technologies.
Previous collaborations between Ripple and SBI Holdings have resulted in innovative ideas, including advancements in supply chain management, the development of new remittance channels, and the creation of the MoneyTap mobile payment app.
Blockchain researcher Collin Brown recognizes the significance of this development, as the NFTs minted on the XRP Ledger will showcase blockchain technological innovations and contribute to the wider acceptance of cryptocurrencies.
SBI Holdings’ NFT initiative, EXPO2025 Digital Wallet, powered by the #XRP Ledger, is set to make a splash at the 2025 World Expo. In partnership with #Ripple, SBI introduces Myaku-N!, enabling users to collect exclusive NFTs that highlight innovation.
