VeChain has joined forces with AWorld to track sustainability efforts and reward users with non-fungible tokens (NFTs), encouraging eco-friendly behavior. This collaboration will debut at the Nitto ATP Finals 2023, featuring a Carbon Footprint Station and opportunities to win exclusive Phygital Tennis rackets as NFTs.
By integrating blockchain technology into AWorld’s platform, VeChain showcases the potential of Web3 for environmental sustainability. Users can now record their eco-friendly activities on the platform, creating digital certificates in the form of NFTs. This not only promotes sustainable actions but also provides a tangible reward system to motivate users towards eco-friendliness.
The partnership between VeChain and AWorld will be showcased at the Nitto ATP Finals 2023, where visitors can interact with AWorld’s Carbon Footprint Station at the VeChain booth. This station allows users to calculate their CO2 emissions and receive personalized advice on reducing their carbon footprint. Engaging in this experience also rewards users with exclusive NFTs.
Beyond the ATP Finals, the partnership extends to online challenges where participants can join teams, record daily sustainable actions, and compete on a leaderboard to win unique prizes. The top 8 participants will have the chance to win Phygital Tennis rackets, which combine physical and digital elements and come equipped with NFC chips and corresponding NFTs.
Additionally, if the community completes 50,000 sustainable activities, VeChain will contribute to the recovery of 625 kg of plastic from the oceans through the ReSea Project. This initiative highlights how individual digital actions can collectively lead to significant environmental benefits.
Both VeChain and AWorld are committed to leveraging advanced technologies for ecological betterment. This partnership not only advances the application of blockchain for sustainability but also serves as a model for other organizations to promote environmentally responsible behavior.
